William “Yam” Laranas is a New York City–based filmmaker, director, video editor, and cinematographer with roots in Los Angeles and Manila. He specializes in branded content, commercial cinematography, and editorial storytelling across film, advertising, and digital platforms.
He has led creative for global brands including Procter & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson, UNILAB, BDO Unibank, Smart/PLDT, and Jollibee — directing and editing campaigns for TV, social media, and long-form branded video.
Yam served as director and cinematographer of Asia’s Titanic for National Geographic Channel, combining documentary storytelling, historical research, and cinematic visual style for an international audience.
His commercial work spans fashion campaigns, lifestyle films, and product content, where he brings a strong sense of narrative structure, visual mood, and brand alignment.
